Emma Rozanski - Artist in Residence at The International Museum of Surgical Science, Chicago

Congratulations to our Emma Rozanski (@aparticularfilm) who has been selected as the International Museum of Surgical Science Artist in Residence for Summer/Fall 2018 - A fascinating and inspiring Museum in Chicago, USA. 

During the 4 month residency, Emma will be lurking within the Museum, creating a series of video, sound and installation artworks based on/inspired by the Museum's archives, which will culminate in a solo capstone exhibition of this new work within the Museum in November 2018.

Gonzalo Escobar Mora's medium-length film 'POOL VERSION' upcoming screenings

...Esteemed archivist and curator Juana Suárez (NYU Tisch School of the Arts) presents a programme of four recent short films by Colombian filmmakers living abroad. She will also be there to discuss the programme with special guests.

Berlinale Premieres for films by Marta Hernaiz Pidal and Andre Gil Mata

Bianca Lucas at Premiers Plan d'Angers!

Bianca’s graduation film, BOGEYMAN, is set to have its french premiere at the Premiers Plan d’Angers International Film Festival. The screening will take place on Wednesday, January 17th. BOGEYMAN will screen just prior to one of 2017’s most successful feature documentaries, PLAYING MEN, by Matjaz Ivanisin.

Premiers Plans d’Angers is one of France’s oldest and most important venues for new, international discoveries.

Bogota - Gonzalo Escobar Mora's short film 'POOL VERSION' playing in Bogoshorts Film Festival

 

Gonzalo Escobar Mora's graduation film.factory film, POOL VERSION, will screen as part of the BogotShorts Film Festival this month (info via links below). Bogoshorts is the largest short film festival in Colombia. Gonzalo will be present for Q&A at the screening.

Stefan Malešević news

An update on the film happenings of our Stefan Malešević: 

In May, Gora, a 78min documentary shot in Kosovo, won the Best Camera award and Best Film award at the BelDocs international film festival in Belgrade.

In August, Gora was screened at DokuFest in Prizren, where it got a Special Mention from the BalkanDox jury.

In August, Stefan was a member of the jury for documentaries at the Montenegro Film Festival in Herceg Novi.

Amateri, or The Lost Innocents (Graeme Cole) at 23rd Sarajevo Film Festival

Mr Cole's movie Amateri, or The Lost Innocents, will play at Sarajevo Film Festival next week. As you may remember, the video was produced as part of an artist residency at Kino Klub Split, and is a poetic interpretation and perversion of the history and culture of the Kino Klubs of the region of the former Yugoslavia.
