Delve into the fascinating world of cinema at the 2nd Cineteca Veracruz Exhibition! This vibrant event, set to take place from November 15th to 18th, 2023, in Boca del Río, Veracruz, Mexico, promises an enriching experience for film enthusiasts, artists, and moviemakers alike. With an emphasis on the International Feature Film section, which welcomes entries from fiction, documentaries, and animations, this remarkable showcase stands as a testament to the diverse artistic expressions within the world of film.

We are particularly excited about the International Feature Film category, which welcomes all genres, be it fiction, documentary, or animation. This category allows filmmakers to present their full-length creations, creating a space for creativity and imagination to flourish. Whether you have a captivating fiction film, a thought-provoking documentary, or a visually stunning animation, we want to see it all!

To submit your film, please note that the submission period will be open from July 11th to September 22nd of this year. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to showcase your work to an international audience, gain recognition for your talent, and possibly distribution deals or collaborations with fellow industry professionals.

Veracruz, with its vibrant culture, stunning natural scenery, and warm-hearted locals, serves as an incredible backdrop for this event. Experimental film 'Sutures of a Landscape' selected for Bali International Short Film Festival

Emma Rozanski’s single-channel video art film ‘Sutures of a Landscape’ will screen in the experimental section of MINIKINO FILM WEEK - Bali’s International Short Film Festival - 5th to 12th October 2019

The film - a handmade landscape of wildlife observed from dusk to dawn - was made during her artist residency at Chicago’s International Museum of Surgical Science, using shadow puppets created from antique surgical tools and apothecary objects from the Museum’s collection - the soundscape was also using these same objects.

Levan Lomjaria's new short film to screen at BIAFF

Levan Lomjaria’s short film ‘You Look Like Your Father’ has been selected for the “Alternative Wave” section at the 2019 Batumi International Arthouse Film Festival in Georgia.

III place – attendance to Berlin International Film Festival (accreditation, travel, accommodation).

ALEKSANDRA NIEMCZYK's screening of Baba Vanga and new artist residency

Aleksnadra’s long-form artist’s moving image work, Baba Vanga, screened as a multi-channel installation at gallery of Bandits-Mages in Bourges, France in September 2018. This special event projection was the inauguration of her artist residency for her next film project - supported by EMAP#EMARE European Media and Art Program founded by European Commission. The residency commenced on 1st October 2018 and will culminate in a new moving image work. Stay tuned!

Emma Rozanski's feature, PAPAGAJKA available to watch on @SeedandSpark

As of today, the wonderful new USA-based streaming site, Seed and Spark (who are also a great crowdfunding platform for films with a unique twist on this service), have our Emma Rozanki’s (@aparticularfilm) debut feature film, Papagajka (The Parrot) available to watch online.

Their platform is very inclusive as they offer a pay what you can model, so they are accessible for those with lower incomes. So we’re very happy that Rozanki’s film is now in their online catalogue for an ever-growing audience to watch.

Watch Emma Rozanski's debut feature in North America on @Fandor

Stefan Malešević NEWS - screenings and development

STEFAN MALEŠEVIĆ's feature-length documentary, GORA, will be screened at the BelDocs festival in Belgrade in May.

Stefan is also developing his next two documentary projects - 'Gone with the Southern Wind', about the rise and fall of the most popular Yugoslav band, called the Southern Wind (Južni Vetar) - and a film about the peculiar Bektashi Islamic sect in Macedonia and Albania.
